Say good-bye to ugly plastic pots! Sweetwater Nursery LLC is happy to introduce a smart alternative: EcoForms™. Perfect for home and garden, these all-natural pots are made from by-products of renewable and sustainable crops. They contain no wood or petroleum ingredients, do not deplete natural resources, and decompose in the landfill. Suddenly, gardening is both easy and guilt-free.

These products are available in a wide variety of natural colors and shapes to complement every décor. Strong, durable and lightweight, EcoForms™ are ideal for plants that need to be moved often, lasting five years under average conditions. Even when exposed to constant high humidity, their water- resistant surface remains clean and smooth.

Manufacturing Process

EcoForms™ are made from grain husks (primarily rice hulls) and natural binding agents (starch-based, water-soluble binders and biodegradable additives). No pollutants are used or produced at any stage of the manufacturing process. And because all scraps are recycled in the production process, no materials are wasted. Only a small amount of water is used in the binding formula, and the organic pigments are environmentally friendly. Heat and pressure cement the ingredients to produce EcoForms™.

Sweetwater Nursery maintains a close working relationship with our manufacturing partners. The EcoForms™ family-owned manufacturing facility is operated with extraordinary efficiency and workmanship. The working conditions at the factory are clean, efficient, and respectful of the employees.

• All of our planting pots promote perfect drainage with holes and feet that ensure proper air movement.

• Special order containers designed to last 6 months to 8 years are also available.

Biodegradable Performance

EcoForms™ will keep their shape and clean surface until the end of their functional life. Only after they have been discarded into a commercial or municipal landfill facility will decomposition take place. They then break down into nutrient-rich organic matter with a PH value of 7.0.

 

Styles and Colors

EcoForms™ is proud to offer three lines of pots designed to meet all your growing needs. Pot sizes range from 3” to 12” diameter. Six colors are available:

Nova Series - A simple yet elegant pot, available in 5 sizes. The Nova series is perfect for mixed planters, specimen planters, houseplants, patio pots, and more. Nova pots are available in all six colors.

Grower Series - Standard pots in multiple sizes and styles, each with corresponding shuttle-tray options (see below). These pots are professionally designed for both large and small growers and most commercial pot handling and watering systems (including tidal ebb and flow systems). Grower Pots are available in Natural only.

Shuttle Trays - Multiple shuttle tray options for Grower Pot styles and sizes are available. Custom tray designs are welcome for special orders.

Décor Series - An array of pot styles, sizes and colors for both the home gardener and commercial grower. Styles include: Urn, Vase, Bowl and Footed Bowl. An accompanying saucer is available for every style. Décor pots are available in all six colors.

Saucers - These saucers are sweat free and will protect fine wood surfaces from water damage. Five saucer sizes are available in all six colors.

Special Information

EcoForms™ are available with barcode stickers. Special options include: self-watering hanging baskets, Grower Pot “tag-lock” styles, embossment on pot bottom and/or pot side, attachable saucers, and additional colors.
